Across the Universe

Across the Universe was AMAZING! I hardly ever go into a movie with high expectations and leave satisfied. I thought it would be more like Moulin Rouge in the theatrical, over-the-top sense, but it was lovely and beautiful and Bono was in it, and Salma Hayek made a cameo as well. Here are some pictures:

    Hey Marta! I am enjoying your blog--and just put a link on mine to it! I am afraid of seeing this movie--the idea of Beatles covers just makes me wince. Is it really not shmaltzy? I mean, how can you turn Lennon/McCartney into a musical? It scares me. Maybe it scares me because I saw an episode of Oprah about it. And for the record, I ONLY watch Oprah while at the gym! And even then, against my will. Umm--is that convincing enough?

    yeah, i saw that! thanks dude! i went with two hard core beatles fans and they both left very pleased. i don't know, i hope you like it though. oh, and there was no shmaltz. and i know you love the oprah, all the time.
