Bright Eyes' "Four Winds" via the Killers

"Four Winds" - the Killers (Bright Eyes cover) .mp3

The original song is from Bright Eyes' Cassadaga album, which I bought (a real hard copy!) my senior year of college, in the Fall.  It was on the way out of town to go to the Fin and Feather weekend retreat for Krew.  I listened to the whole album about 1.5 times, mostly because I got bored.  It's a great album, but I got kinda creeped out by the first track, which sounds kind of like if your AM talk radio station got possessed and whispered in your ear at night as you were falling asleep.  (listen to the track here - clairaudients)

Also, another odd personal factoid about "Four Winds" is that my Conspiracy Theories professor, a kind dumpy Harvard guy, would play music before each lecture that related in some way to the subject matter.  Before talking about the Catholic Church and conspiracies about it being the Whore of Babylon (read all about it here), he played this song.  I was impressed that he liked Bright Eyes (snobbery).
