My great-grandmother was French Huguenot in a long line of French Huguenots(the de la Rees and de Forrests), and out of sentimentality/loyalty, I've wanted to wear this cross. It's beautiful, and I like that the eight points represent the beatitudes, but beyond that, I don't like its symbolism.
